Fire Extinguishers
Alacran Hoods offers installation, service, and maintenance for all types of extinguishers to fit your specific needs. Commercial kitchens need a Class K extinguisher since cooking fires do not respond to ABC extinguishers, this is because cooking oils and grease burn at higher temperatures.
NFPA requires a place of business to be visually inspecting their extinguishers on a monthly basis to check for tampering, rust, safety pin in place, etc. NFPA also requires your extinguisher(s) to be inspected every 12 months by a certified technician and a tag placed on the extinguisher with the information of the company completing the inspection as well as the date it was completed.
